Io l'ho seguito in diretta.
Al netto dell'emozione provata (si è trattato senz'altro di un appuntamento storico), il concerto non si è sostanzialmente distinto dagli show di quest'ultima leg del tour, con arrangiamenti inossidabili e scaletta di routine (fatta eccezione per una Don't Go Breaking My Heart un po' titubante, complice la non ottimale forma vocale di Elton e Kiki).
Buona/ottima l'energia complessiva del nostro (resa adeguata in brani come Mercy, Levon, FFF/LLB), meno buona, come detto, la voce un po' stanca e sforzata, che è andata però migliorando nel corso del concerto.
I duetti non hanno lasciato il segno (specie la Carlile, che si è esibita su Don't Let the Sun, andava maggiormente valorizzata).
Molto emozionante vedere Bernie salire sul palco per il commiato all'America.
Non ho visto il concerto quindi non commento la qualità. Certo è che avrebbe potuto fare una setlist apposita, tipo quella del concerto dei 60 anni, per rendere unico l'evento anche a livello di sostanza.
Leggevo la scaletta del 1975 al Dodger Stadium...
