Happy New Year!
It's another busy year for Elton on the road and in the studio

Elton, David and Zachary celebrated Christmas, and Zachary's first birthday, at home in Windsor, England. Zachary was also a guest at the Rocket Music Christmas party, where Elton welcomed staff and artists from his offices in London and the USA. These artists included Ed Sheeran, James Blunt, Lily Allen, Mad Dog, Oh Land, Just Jack, Murray James, Riley, 2CELLOS and Ray Cooper. In his speech to the guests Elton thanked the staff for their hard work in 2011, applauded the artists for their talent and success in 2011, and emphasised the company's future commitment to its artists.
There was a welcome surprise Christmas gift for Elton when his and Bernie Taupin's Gnomeo & Juliet song, Hello, Hello was nominated for a Golden Globe award. Two of their songs from this film may also be contenders for Academy Awards.
2012 looks set to be another fun year on 'Planet Elton.' As ever our main man will be busy; this week he heads off to Hawaii for the start of his 2012 touring schedule. After Hawaii, Elton travels to Central and South America, where he will play his first ever concerts in Peru, Costa Rica and Panama, and return to Venezuela for a concert in Caracas. If you are attending any of these concerts do send your review or comments to the Editor - we publish as many of these as we can on the site.
In mid-January Elton and Bernie make a welcome return to the recording studio in Los Angeles, again with producer T Bone Burnett, to record an album for release later this year.
February sees Elton and the extended band return to Caesars Palace. Las Vegas, for the second season of Million Dollar Piano shows. Look out for the brand new edition of the Million Dollar Piano souvenir brochure - 80 pages of fabulous new photos and in-depth features. Elton and Ray Cooper then perform two concerts in Mexico.
In March Elton and the band will play more American concerts, which we will be announcing very soon, and they will then return to Las Vegas in April.
