Shot on 400 speed slide film, pushed to 800 speed and then pull processed at 400 speed to get some detail in the faces. I believe this concert was in 1983 at Alpine Valley Music Theater.

ANNI '90Elton John - 1991
At a private holiday party performance - solo! - at the World Congress Center for employees of the Coca Cola Company in Atlanta, GA. Elton had recently moved to Atlanta and had endorsed his first product - Diet Coke - and in the process had come to be friends with the execs at Coke. This concert was a wonderful gift to the company employees. The quality isn't great - lighting conditions were difficult to say the least - but I managed to shoot a couple that were clear enough. EJ was coming out of his long phase of excess everything, and had not performed in several years. There was a security person at the World Congress Center who told me about EJ coming there each day the preceding week to practice - no entourage, no big brou-ha-ha, just EJ and his keyboard. He said he was a pleasant person. EJ thoroughly enjoyed doing the performance - I was at the front, something like 8.9 months pregnant at the time - and he had the audience in the palm of his hand.
